Where art thou, Stoner
UPDATE: Silence still...........Still no word from Bill Dennis....Silence is deafening.
dissent is the highest form of patriotism
Although Ted fiercely fought for some things I at least generally agree with, for the last 30 years of his life, he fought cynically for many things that were simply Democrat campaign issues and , in my opinion, he never atoned for his previous sins which are well known.
"President Bush was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I don't know how anyone could have handled this situation."
"I don't give a **** who's in office, Bush or whoever, there is no simple solution to this problem… I'm not one of those who blames Bush for everything."
"It's too easy to blame everything on one guy. These are unpredictable, dangerous times, and I don't think that anyone really knows quite what to do."
"Actors should shut up about politics, because they tend to be ill-informed finger-pointers who just cozy up to some flavor-of-the-month liberal, you know?"
That the Dems won’t seat a guy who’s completely legit yet are in a rush to seat another guy who’s win is suspect speaks volumes.
Burris is not Barry’s chosen one.

He looks into the dark miasmaCNBC host Jim Cramer acknowledged on the January 17 "Today" show that the media's consistently negative reports about the economy contribute to the possibility of a recession by lowering consumer confidence and spending.
"Today" anchor Matt Lauer told Cramer, "People come up to me and say on the street ... they say, ‘Why don't you stop talking about recession? Because simply by talking about it, you're going to freak out consumers and definitely push us into one.' Is there any logic to that thinking?"
"The answer," Cramer said, "is that we have to point out the positives with the negatives." What a novel concept!
Burke, 56, will begin work at the ACLU of Texas on Tuesday. Her duties will include lobbying, fundraising, administering the organization and communicating with the public.
Burke said her new job seems like a continuation of her work in the newspaper business.
there ya go....
This may lead to the GOP winning “…another election they do not deserve to win”

Hell yeah, Beej. I mean just because people voted for them….
If Liberals don't win it's 'cause people are stupid or the other guys cheated, right?
No wonder you guys are so miserable. Your incredible narcissism can never be gratified.
What would you say if I told you that eighteen Democrat Representatives -- elected members of the United States Congress -- either voted against, or simply voted "present" on, a resolution passed in honor of Christmas? Then, what would you say if I told you that seventeen of these eighteen American Representatives also voted for a resolution passed in honor of Ramadan?
I'm a big 2nd amendment supporter and I don't have a hunting license or an FOID card, don't own a damned gun and haven't been hunting in YEARS!
WEST CHESTER — For the first time a regional atheist group will display a holiday tree on the Chester County Courthouse lawn during the winter holidays, potentially setting a seasonal model for other communities.
-Most atheists would have demanded the other displays be removed because of some imaginary "separation of church and state" thing. Nice to see some people can be reasonable.
The Baltimore Fire Department has suspended a paramedic apprentice who admitted placing a threatening note and a rope shaped like a noose inside a firehouse.
Fire officials say the paramedic, Gary Maynard, is the one who initially reported finding the note and the rope. Fire department spokesman Kevin Cartwright says Maynard confessed to city police that he left the note and the rope.
A statement from Fire Chief William Goodwin says Maynard's scheme was "meant to create the perception that members within our department were acting in a discriminatory and unprofessional manner."
The note was believed to refer to a cheating scandal involving black firefighters. Maynard, who is black, has not yet been charged with any crime.

You're damn straight I blame hip hop for playing a role in the genocide of American black men. When your leading causes of death and dysfunction are murder, ignorance and incarceration, there's no reason to give a free pass to a culture that celebrates murder, ignorance and incarceration.
Of course there are other catalysts, but until we recapture the minds of black youth, convince them that it's not OK to "super man dat ho" and end any and every dispute by "cocking on your bitch," nothing will change.
Does a Soulja Boy want an education?
HBO did a fascinating documentary on Little Rock Central High School, the Arkansas school that required the National Guard so that nine black kids could attend in the 1950s. Fifty years later, the school is one of the nation's best in terms of funding and educational opportunities. It's 60 percent black and located in a poor black community.
Watch the documentary and ask yourself why nine poor kids in the '50s risked their lives to get a good education and a thousand poor black kids today ignore the opportunity that is served to them on a platter.
Blame drugs, blame Ronald Reagan, blame George Bush, blame it on the rain or whatever. There's only one group of people who can change the rotten, anti-education, pro-violence culture our kids have adopted. We have to do it.
According to reports, Sean Taylor had difficulty breaking free from the unsavory characters he associated with during his youth.
The "keepin' it real" mantra of hip hop is in direct defiance to evolution. There's always someone ready to tell you you're selling out if you move away from the immature and dangerous activities you used to do, you're selling out if you speak proper English, embrace education, dress like a grown man, do anything mainstream.

After either participating in or allowing the planting of campaign operatives at November 15's Democrat presidential debate in Las Vegas, it has now become apparent that similar stocking of audience questioners occurred in Wednesday's Republican debate.
As NewsBuster Matthew Balan reported Wednesday, "a member of Hillary Clinton's "LGBT Americans For Hillary Steering Committee" not only asked a question via YouTube, "but he was also present in the audience, and got to ask the candidates for a ‘straight answer.'"
On Thursday morning, Michelle Malkin has identified two plants from the Obama and Edwards campaign. As her website is having some problems at the moment, Inside Cable News reported that according to Malkin, one plant was David Cercone, a declared Obama supporter, who asked the following question:
David Cercone: Hi, my name is David Cercone. I'd like to ask all the candidates if they accept the support of the Log Cabin Republicans, and why should the Log Cabin Republicans support their candidacy?
The third plant was LeeAnn Anderson, an activist that is part of a union which has already endorsed Edwards. She asked this:
LeeAnn Anderson: My name is LeeAnn Anderson and I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and these are my kids Evan and May. Maya is from China and we adopted him to give her a better life. We never dreamed that she would that she'd be exposed to lead after leaving China, and now we find trains like this that are covered with lead in our home.
My question for the candidates are, what are you going to do to make sure that these kind of toys don't make their way into our homes and that we have safe toys that are made in America again and we keep jobs in America?
As such, it hasn't even been 24 hours since this debate concluded, and three plants - all with connections to Democrat candidates - have been identified.
Regardless of whether or not CNN is specifically involved, as this is now the second consecutive incident of such behavior at a debate sponsored by this network, has it now abused the public trust enough to not be allowed to sponsor any more debates in this election cycle?

The FCC is considering revising its cable TV regulations, using the so-called 70/70 rule as justification. The 70/70 rule states that when 70% of American homes can access cable and 70% of those with access subscribe, the FCC can impose new regulations to ensure competition. Many groups, including cable and telecommunications companies, dispute whether the threshold has been met.
While the disputed rule was adopted to ensure competition, several groups are saying the plan would hurt minorities, rural voters, and consumers. FCC Chairman Kevin Martin reportedly wants cable providers to allow à la carte service, so consumers can select individual channels rather than packages. Minority groups say that à la carte service would ruin the business

On Friday, protesters, including several small children, were able to keep two trucks from leaving the port. Olympia police said the department did not have enough officers available to remove the protesters Friday, and that they were not prepared to physically remove children.
"Protesters," like terrorists, use children as human shields. But doesn't Washington state have laws against child abuse?

Rep. Carla Dartez, a Democrat, acknowledged that she ended a Thursday night conversation with Hazel Boykin by saying, “Talk to you later, Buckwheat.” Dartez had been thanking Boykin for driving voters to the polls…
Boykin, 75, helped desegregate restaurants and the parish school system in the 1960s. Her son, Jerome, is president of the Terrebonne Parish chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
“I’ve never had no one talk to me that way and I considered it a racial slur,” Hazel Boykin said. “I know the meaning of it, it’s just like the N-word.”
-
Now this is complete bullsh*t. I and many people I know use the term with each other, based on the Eddie Murphy skit, as a diminutive or a term of some endearment. I don't know what's different in the south but I'd guarantee this Democrat have no thought whatsoever of using this as a racial insult.
Ms. Boykin needs to get over herself.
Anti-war protesters are hoping a demonstration of waterboarding will convince a Senate committee to reject Attorney General-nominee Michael Mukasey (myoo-KAY'-zee).
Mukasey has repeatedly refused to say whether he considers the interrogation technique that simulates drowning a form of torture.
About 25 protesters set up the demonstration outside the Justice Department's headquarters. They poured water over the face of a volunteer as he lay on his back; he was reduced to retching coughs and tears in less than four minutes.
By the time of this demonstration, Sens. Chuck Schumer and Dianne Feinstein had already announced their support for Mukasey, which means his confirmation was assured. It is preposterous to call this procedure "torture" when people are willing to undergo it merely in order to make a futile political gesture.
